- Dust Bowl 91355: Santa Clarita received only 5.22 inches of rain from July of 2006 to June 30, 2007, making this year the driest on record. The local water agency says that the amount of water in underground aquifers is still "in good shape" but says if the dry spell continues, Santa Clarita may get its water from other areas, like Kern County.
