As for our SCV landmakers, yes, tongue in cheek, but it's not so unreasonable to expect we might at least see the shuttle on its way to and fro, is it? If they're going to flyover Universal Studios for Apollo 13, shouldn't they at least flyover Vasquez Rocks for Star Trek?
I'll be keeping any eye on this website: FlightRadar24.com. It's the site that helped SCVTalk readers track down that mysterious afterburning aircraft in 2010 that blasted through Santa Clarita late one night, and I think it might just show the shuttle's flight today. I'm hoping I'll catch a glimpse from my office in the SFV.

While it appears your SCV landmarks are given out with tongue firmly planted in cheek (Beale's Cut?), It is a disappointment we will miss a shuttle fly-over. Most of the landmarks on the tour make sense:That's right, Rocketdyne is where they built & tested the Solid Rocket Boosters, correct? Isn't that site now contaminated as bad if not more than our own Whittaker-Bermite?

Griffith Observatory - goes without saying
Malibu - WTF!
The biggest snub of all is not the SCV, but Canoga Park, where Rocketdyne the designer and manufacturer of the shuttle's engines is located. I can't believe they are so dense to miss this one.
