Several readers wrote in to correct a mistake in the Daily Brief today about LEED-certified buildings in Santa Clarita:
The Summit Oaks building is near Highway 126 & Newhall Ranch Road and is the home to Advanced Bionics. It's the only LEED-certified commercial space in the SCV.
Interesting that the rest are government properties and a church.

I think the wording on The Signal is awkard which would explain about your confusion about LEED. The Newhall Library is the second city facility to be LEED certified. The first is the Transit Maintenance Facility which has a gold rating. If you go to greensantaclarita.com, at the header there is a link for green buildings and it appears there are four in the City plus the library which makes five. The other ones are the Newhall Water District with a silver rating, Summit Oaks building with a silver rating, and the Real Life Church with a gold rating.
