Bad information! The Signal article on this weekend’s memorial bike ride is all wrong. First of all, it’s “VELO” not “VERO,” secondly the ride is not just for Velo riders. Hey Farley and King, what do you guys think about this – pretty cool, huh? Taken from the Santa Clarita City Briefs: “East Walker Ranch is a 140 acre site located in Placerita Canyon and the very first property acquired through the City’s Open Space Preservation District. The Santa Clarita City Council will celebrate the acquisition, along with funding partners Los Angeles County and Pardee Homes, this Wednesday September 30 at 4 p.m. on location at 16830 Placerita Canyon Road. East Walker Ranch is adjacent to the Angeles National Forest and the City’s Golden Valley Open Space providing residents with passive recreational opportunities and is a notable addition towards maintaining the City’s goals for open space preservation, wildlife connectivity and expansion of the City’s greenbelt buffer.”
