Best Not a Ferry Fan Video ever! In this video, NAFF shows us the true power brokers behind Santa Clarita and how desperate they are to keep the David Gauny/TimBen Boydston juggernaut from taking over City Hall and weakening their Death Grip on the City of Santa Clarita. Good stuff here…Hitler even rants about SCVTalk, Ferry being a bully and says that if Ferry/McLean/Weste win, there will be no more Dodger tickets. For those unfamiliar with this meme, click here. Comedy…Platinum!

Jeff: The Renolds brothers died TEN years ago. If Marcus Lellan is really knocking around town it would be interesting to know how he got back into the country after his deportation. If he is overstaying a tourist visa, I could easily get behind the SOS people forming a posses on February 27 and hunting him down, rather than that stupid rally.

What happened to Jill Brown?
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:07 am
Fair and balanced needs clarification. Times are difficult, yes. However the owner of AV Rental may need to sell his home in Costa Rica, and other real estate, to make ends meet. Cry him a river, but don’t hand over taxpayer money!
navigatorFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:11 am
Mr Demille move aside NAFF is moving in. Great job on the new video. I hate it when I have to agree with Cam Noltemeyer. I usually agree with Lunetta but he can stuff this column.
scvfanFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:25 am
My goodness Jeff….your sarcasm is a bit much with Lunetta’s column. The peice didn’t mention at ALL Ephesians 6:11 (Armor of God) Your interjection is completely misleading. You normally have higher standards. Disappointed.
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:33 am
One need not rely on Lunetta’s assessment of Newhall. Just ask the sheriff department for the facts. N13 gang members generally do not make their home in Valencia, or ….!
WalkerFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:43 am
I thought M.Lellan was barred from returning to the US after his deportation. No?
IHeartSCVFebruary 18, 2010 at 9:58 am
I found the Lunetta column warranted Jeff’s sarcasm. “Groups of young men, arms decorated with tattoos, view the newcomer warily. A gringo on this side of town usually means parole officer, police officer or bounty hunter — none of which are welcome on this street.” LOL. No, a white person walking in that part of town probably either lives there (yes, it happens–my Grandparents are one of several non-Hispanic families on their street in Newhall) or is looking for day laborers. Most of the Hispanic people are probably relieved to get a standard Christian missionary as opposed to someone from the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall at the end of Newhall Avenue. These folks stop by grandma’s house every month or so. Furthermore, Mexicans and other groups with a strong Catholic heritage are probably more open to religious-types than other segements of the population. I agree that approaching strangers to talk about faith is courageous, but Newhall isn’t as scary as Lunetta suggests.

WalkerFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:05 am
I was just commenting to the fact that he is believed to be here. I doubt it. If he were able to obtain a legal visa (visitor or not) I would think it would have bee all over the news. We are a very pro-Renolds community/local news media here in the SCV. And I just can’t imagine ML coyote-ing in from Mexico or Canada
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:06 am
“Furthermore, Mexicans and other groups with a strong Catholic heritage are probably more open to religious-types than other segements of the population”. Did you receive a message from God that helped you draw this conclusion?
Need for Involved CitizenryFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:24 am
Cam Noltemeyer makes a good point regarding the requirement for energy efficient buildings. The City only requires code minimum (in all regards) in OVOV. There are no LEED requirements or even requirements for water conservation (although the water companies are telling us all to conserve, conserve, conserve). Just “recommendations” and “preferences”. They need to step up to the table. Business friendly is one thing but the payoffs for conservation approaches are positive. But unfortunately, it increases the first initial development cost (but saves users down the line) and the City is scared it might become less “Business Friendly” by imposing some common sense requirements on developers and builders. What is good for the goose (the City) is not good for the gander (the developers).
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:34 am
The city does not mind spending taxpayer money for the high cost of energy efficient buildings. The Transit district HQ comes to mind. Hay bales and all.

“Signal Columnist Steve Lunetta says its tough for a white man to walk the streets of Newhall unless he has put the armor of God on and is carrying a bible…..” Oh please, that is such a crock of crap.
Fred ButlerFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:37 am
Oddly, there are a ton of Master College and Master Seminary folks living in those apartments up and down Walnut and 15th streets in Newhall. I would imagine most of them are transplanted lilly white mid-westerners. As far as I know, none of them have tattoos and the only fire arms they have handled was for the purpose killing deer.

More fear mongering from the right wing cowards like Lunetta! Honesty is completely not in their vocabulary!
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 10:54 am
“More fear mongering from the right wing” Is this the only rebuttal from the far left liberals? Oh no, I forgot, calling people racist is also an option.

IHeartSCVFebruary 18, 2010 at 11:55 am
That’s a very entertaining NFF video, but I’m not sure why “Al Franken”, “Obama”, “girls”, and “sex” are included as tags for it on YouTube.

Everyone who isn’t a raving, fear-mongering right winger is a far left liberal? Wrong answer! May I suggest you pound sand!

Brian, I guess you can’t stand the truth. Name calling is a sign that you have no real argument. You can suggest I pound sand if you like, we are, afterall, in the USA not Mexico.
scvfanFebruary 18, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Ok – I didn’t say that I liked the way Lunetta described Newhall. It was a bit dramatic. No…totally dramatic. I live in Newhall and see gang bangers everyday. I’m white and female….so trust me…my interaction with them is totally different. I take issue with Jeff’s “summary” of the article and putting words in both Steve and the missionary’s mouth. It was totally misleading.

cash, we roll as deep as we need to. v-town streets are out to tax.
scvfanFebruary 18, 2010 at 12:25 pm
Furthermore, Newhall is NOT overrun with gang-bangers. I would say it is more open and appraant that Valencia but not quite “infested”…yet People need to leave Santa Clarita and see actual infested gang communities. Been to Oakland lately?

Regarding newest from NAFF, I only wish I spoke German to know what Hitler was really saying! But seriously, David Gauny addressed the Canyon Country Advisory Committee last night as part of an ongoing series of council candidate presentations. David was clear, concise, and made several solid recommendations on how he would make changes particularly to the “process” at City Hall. He has a clear understanding of the challenges, and a substantive message for positive changes to address the issues important to city residents. As always, David presents his views respectfully, honestly and without evading tough questions. He is intelligent, thoughtful, and thorough. Go David…
blazingmonkFebruary 18, 2010 at 1:11 pm
“I only wish I spoke German to know what Hitler was really saying!” I am disappointed, I was hoping you can tell us more of your translations… I think I saw Hitler flash a gang sign…
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 1:55 pm
ND, I was not able to open the link but I’ll take your word for it. There are a couple of shifty looking individuals in the area; they must be gang members. I have no doubt there is white collar criminals in Sand Canyon. No coke with the Jack please.

Berta González-HarperFebruary 18, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Vince: thanks for the link. NAFF did a really good job of “dubbing”. I had not seen this clip before. Sobering.
Jeff JohnsonFebruary 18, 2010 at 3:17 pm
I guess whether or not you’re afraid to walk down those tough Newhall streets has to do with your mental perspective. I may just be too naive to realize I am supposed to live in fear of those who don’t look like me.
Jeff JohnsonFebruary 18, 2010 at 3:19 pm
On the video, whoever put it together should really consider the fact that they are watering down the crimes against humanity done by Hitler and the Nazis when they put these together and try to equate them to our city council members.
lvogelFebruary 18, 2010 at 3:20 pm
LOL…funny Jeff Johnson, I was called that very same thing, for that very same reason! I still haven’t wised up…don’t plan to either! I’m a ‘naive rebel’, now~!
townbeetFebruary 18, 2010 at 4:24 pm
Jeff Johnson, I agree with you 100% and suggest that NFF subtitles scenes from Ingrourious Basterts instead.
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 4:26 pm
Timmy: I mentioned this to you before; I too have mixed race grandchildren. They were born in this country, to legal parents, and they speak English. If having mixed race grandchildren makes me a racist, then I am a “proud racist”!
scvfanFebruary 18, 2010 at 4:34 pm
Pauline is agreeing with me? Either way, Jeff….tisk tisk.
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Timmy, you need to save Jill Brown!
Jeff JohnsonFebruary 18, 2010 at 4:55 pm
Agreed townbeet, I want to make it clear, I enjoy parody as much as the next person and comedy is a great means of making something that helps everyone relate to it. I just don’t see this scene as being a good one for parody personally, this is not an original concept BTW, it has been parodied literally dozens of times if you look it up on Youtube. I have seen this piece used for probably 6 months in this same fashion and I bristle at it every time. Maybe I’m wrong or overly sensitive, just my natural reaction to it.
Bill ReynoldsFebruary 18, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Hey Cash, nice to see you commenting here again. I too have been called a racist here in the past due to several politically incorrect jokes. I too have mixed race grandchildren born to bonofide legal Americans. Seems there are a number of uptight, lack of humor bleeding heart liberals on this blog who cannot take a joke. Those Hitler parodies are fantastically humorous. They all make Hitler and his cronies look like complete diabiolical morons, which is exactly what they were. God Bless our brave soldiers who preserved our right to free speech!

Dear Bill, Comparing the first lady to a monkey makes you racist. Sincerely, America
cashFebruary 18, 2010 at 8:37 pm
The first lady does have the features of a monkey. Why does that make Bill a racist? Some claim we all have a little monkey in our genes. Mrs. Obama’s are just more pronounced.
