Lynne Plambeck and her SCOPE group are going to appeal a judge’s recent decision to throw out their case against the Mayo expansion project. Plambeck et al say that the judge expressed a personal disbelief in global warming, which biased his entire decision. The group says expanding Mayo will “ruin the whole complexion of our community.” SIGNAL

The wife of the man who died on Saturday in a Plum Canyon collision discovered the car crash outside her home when she went out looking for her husband the Signal says. Jeff Laird, the victim, was father of four children including a young girl who was born just last year. SIGNAL

The perpetual 14-year-old deep inside my psyche can’t NOT snicker at the fact that the business journal came up with the domain scvBJ.com. So many taglines come to mind that, in the name of decorum, will not be repeated in this, the most respected of forums!

I giggle sometimes at BJ’s restaurant at Town Center. This, after growing up with BJ’s Wholesale Club (like Costco) in South Florida, without the same effect.

I had a friend once who told me she “was full from BJs at lunch.” We all laughed uproariously, then laughed even harder when about two minutes later she laughed and said “OH! I get it!!”.
