    Let us not forget Jeff is a young man. This movie came out in 1974. Frau Blucher is in her 80′s now and best known to the current generation for her turn on Dancing with the Stars. Many of the other stars are dead. Geez…..I’m kinda depressed now!

    So many lines from one movie: “Now listen to me very carefully – Put……the Candle……..Back” or something close. “What hump?” “Pardon me boy, is this the Transylvania Station?” “Ya, track 49, can I give you a shine”. “Frau Brucher” followed by horse braying. The list just goes on…. Marty Feldman made me crack up without even saying a word – those eyes. I believe he passed shortly after the movie was made. Very sad.

    Feldman died in 1982 eight years after the release of Young Frankenstein of a heart attack in Mexico City during the filming of Yellowbeard at the age of 48. Mel Brooks, in his director’s commentary on Young Frankenstein released after the death theorized that the fact Feldman smoked up to six packs of cigarettes a day, drank lots of coffee, and ate high cholesterol foods have had something to do with the early death.

    Eight years! I guess from my perspective 8 years that long ago seems like 8 months. I clearly remember he died in Mexico when filming a movie. Completely agree about Terri Garr v Farrah Fawcett.

    This reminded me that during my high school years I would have jumped over Farrah Fawcett to get to Teri Garr! Just sayin’…..

    That would be a difficult choice. Terri is a fantastic person and probably never looked better than she did in this film. I do, however, still have my Farrah poster hanging on my garage wall.

    I had totally forgotten about that. The photo doesn’t do her justice. I met her back in the 80s and was completely star-struck of course. Teri, at the time, was a complete sweetheart, especially when compared to some of her peers.

    I also thought she was in an episode of “I Spy” (the original Robert Culp/Bill Cosby version), but I can’t find it in IMDB.
