- I think the last time I actually ate in a Pizza Hut restaurant (delivery baby!) was in 1991, but any patrons at the Lyons Station location were treated to an inept car thiefwho in making an attempted getaway bottomed out the stolen vehicle on a retaining wall. Picture at SCVNEWS is great.
- Replace the word "City" with "Incumbents" in any SIGNAL story over the next four months and you get a small idea of the strength of Ender and Kellar candidacies. In this story, City spokesperson Gail Ortiz tells how the "Extreme Neighborhood Makeover Program" is single-handedly eliminating urban blight. Canyon Country Advisory Committee maven Alan Ferdman gets back in time from the Tea Party rally to tell SIGNAL reporter that the City needs A LOT more inspectors to oppress the citizens.
Readers will recall how TimBen Boydston made a "big" campaign issue of City officials oppressing homeowners who just want to paint their houses purple in 2010. He still came fifth. - In answer to Jim Farley's question about the chopper in the hood (Northbridge) on Christmas night apparently two juveniles were attempting to break into a vacant home. Their parents must be so proud!
- I told a Hart Board member one year ago that the move against Gloria Mercado-Fortine for her employment by a charter school would come to naught. I take great satisfaction in being right.
- I, along with many otherswere out at the stores yesterday for a bit. In my opinion, Target has the best set up for processing returns; Kohls the worst.
- SEARS will close a lot of stores (120) after poor holiday results and I am very concerned about the K-Mart on Valencia Boulevard in the area that has become kind of a retail no man's land with the opening of the Cross Valley Connector (ie, I don't go there anymore).
