- The Signal has implemented another new, seemingly arbitrary policy regarding opinion pieces in the paper. Signal executive editor Jasan Shaff sent an email to regular Signal columnists yesterday telling them that the paper won't be publishing any more columnists' endorsement pieces before the election because opposing candidates won't be able to respond in time. The email was sent to liberal and conservative columnists, but still, that takes some brass considering the paper routinely prints verbatim press releases from the McKeon campaign.
