  • Nice guy with occasional flashes of anger: More details on alleged double-murder suspect Lance Anderson by way of The Signal, whose Jim Holt went out and talked to several neighbors. Holt also spoke briefly with the the victims' family who didn't say much other than they disputed the LAPD characterization of the murders as "mercy killings." SIGNAL
  • Perry Smith reports that Anderson is being held at an LAPD facility in lieu of $1 million bail. Some cmplicated inter-jurisdictional investigation coming next; Anderson allegedly shot his sister in North Hills, LAPD territory, and his wife in Canyon Country, LASD SCV territory. KHTS
  • Paul Walker's family thinks -with some support apparently- that Rodas & Walker were likely speeding to some degree when the Porsche "hydroplanned" off the famous Botts' Dotts traffic lane safety dots. TMZ has the scoop and found a memo from Porsche that says the Carrera GT can't drive over a foster's beer can without losing its grip; unidentified "experts" say a race car travelling at 90mph over Botts Dotts would be akin to driving on ice. How supremely ironic if true; Botts' Dotts have likely saved lives; Slate cals them one of the 14 greatest, oddball inventions you've never heard of. TMZ, SLATE
  • Power Posse on the Board: The Hart Board has a new Trustee in the form of Placerita home owner leader & businessman Rob Hall, who took the seat vacated by Chris Fall, himself a replacement for Paul Strickland. So hopefully the year-long saga is over; just in time too: I don't know how this slipped past me, but the Hart District has purchased a new District Office building and will move in in time for the next Board meeting in January. SIGNAL profile on Hall, KHTS on other Hart news
  • Neat: Several local churches, large and small, rushed to help the tiny Val Verde Apostolic church that was sacked last weekend by vandals and thieves. SIGNAL
  • Great pair of articles from KHTS on Hart's championship football game this weekend against Chaminade. It's been a tough decade for the Indians since the glory days of the late 90s/early 00s, but they're back in a big game, and Brady White is a part of it. Also, my brother remembers Connor Wingneroth as an eager ball boy in the 2002-2003 season who wanted to play for Hart even then.
  • Real Life Church's Christmas pageant sold out again; meanwhile there's a lot of great streets in the SCV to view the lights; KHTS shows you the best ones to see.
