Court Rules in Favor of Development: An appellate court ruled in favor of a project proposed by developer Jim Backer that will bring more than 1,000 homes and about 1 million square feet of commercial real estate to Canyon Country. The Vista Canyon project had been challenged in court by environmental group SCOPE. The Signal
Crash Injures Four: A two-car crash outside Central Park yesterday left four people with injuries and put a crimp in rush-hour traffic. It's also worth giving a shoutout to Rick McClure, who took the photos in The Signal. A longtime friend of The Signal, Rick has been a source of some strong news photos through the years. The Signal
