Sherrif sends out armed posse in search of Daily Brief, news at 11

Attributed to Jeff Wilson (editor-supplied)

The Daily Brief is missing in action today (as is Baby Jesus, apparently).

I know what you’re thinking. “Jeff, you slacker! Bag of lazy bones! No good do nothing!”

But wait, it’s not the case! I have a legit excuse this morning.

You see, I’m working on SCVTalk’s second annual year in review. For the last month, I’ve been reviewing this blog to see which stories were the most popular, which got the most clicks, and which generated the most discussion. Based on that and more, I’m writing up a year end review for 2008 that should be quite good, better than anything The Signal is going to offer, anyway.

So think of it as like a Yearly Brief, and it’s coming soon!

In the meantime, enjoy John Boston’s humorous column about the squirrel population at a Canyon Country apartment complex, this Times article about a 2010 hybrid Ford Fusion that gets 52MPG, this Los Angeles Magazine article about bike culture in Los Angeles, this Times article about the iBreath, an ipod breathalyzer, or this Time Magazine article titled “How I got Screwed by Bernie Maddoff.

If that’s not enough, maybe you’ll like the time-lapse video below of  Santa Clarita’s perpetual number one complaint: traffic.

Happy Hannukah to those of you celebrating this weekend!
