Hollowed out Foothill League High Schools Grovel in Valencia’s Shadow!

So the Signal in their sports retrospective today reports that the Valencia Vikings won EIGHT Foothill League Championships this year, leaving the remaining five comprehensive high schools in the league to share out the remaining eight available championships in league competition averaging to 1.6 championships per school.  I think Hart won the vaunted Boys Golf championship.  (Hart High!  Alive with Pride!) I’m just saying!

Funny but I know 30-40 parents who did not have to pay for a college education due to their son winning that vaunted Boys championship. UCLA-Pepperdine-Stanford-Cal-Arizona to name a few of the schools.

JA: Just joking around. I can’t really mock golf since our sons played the equally vaunted sport of tennis, which registers about a 2.8 on the high school social Richter scale; somewhere ahead of chess club and probably behind girl’s cross country. I hearken back several years ago to when our church’s high school youth group did a skit on how tough it was in the high school social scene and the pretty girl blew off the protaganist when she found out he was on the Hart JV golf rather than the football team.

I know what you are saying. I played golf in high school BT (Before Tiger) when it was not cool! Got a full ride out of it though. Also played Baseball and never got a look. Nowdays golf is the cool sport. Both my daughters went to Valencia and dated golfers. My oldest married last sept to a MD/Golfer who beats my butt on the course. (and I have been scratch since I was 15) As soon as I get grandkids the first sport they will learn will be golf.(thanks to an over bearing grandfather)

Jeff, I know you like to play loosey goosey with the contributors, but this aggression will not stand! Viking agitprop has no place on SCVtalk. I’m calling for the heavy hand of the editor and publisher to destroy this post forevermore.

On a side note, Hart had 3 players in the College Baseball world series. Valencia Zero

And a fat lot of good that did the Bruins against the unranked Gamecocks of South Carolina! (hee hee)

I stopped reading anything by Myers a few years ago. I understand that he only likes Valencia but the snarky comments about the other high schools are childish and mean and add nothing. Please fire him as a writer on this site.

‘slong as the comments are Viking-centered, Myers has my support!

“I stopped reading anything by Myers a few years ago.” Then how did you know this was here? “Please fire him as a writer on this site.” I think you have to be paid before you can be fired! Seriously, Jeff W. bags on Valencia by saying in the future they are turned into a jail and I say that Hart is a hollowed out shadow of its former self. It’s just how we roll and it is all in fun!

I come here because of the Jeff, and The Daily Brief . I read your post today by mistake because it was so short. Hoped maybe you had changed. I will skip reading the posts if I see your name. no worries.

Must be the result of an awesome swim team at the summit?

Seriously, my contact with the Piranhas said the Seal feeder system was one aspect of Hart Swim dominance. Should we start a conspiracy theory that Bill Reynolds is an agent for Valencia swim.

Only count the varsity championships, so that means the remaining four schools had to share five.
