His plea today that Congress delay acting on the Pentagon’s Don’t ask, don’t tell report (the same report he demanded earlier this year) is particularly desperate and pathetic when you read what the report actually says. Here’s a quote from a special forces guy on gays in the military:
“We have a gay guy in the unit. He’s big, he’s mean, and he kills lots of bad guys. No one cared that he was gay.”
With sentiments like that, coupled with what the report actually found (strong support for a repeal), what can McKeon, who never even served, possibly argue next?
