No Daily Brief – Open Thread

If you’re in the mood for Christmas and winter weather, Big Picture’s photos of snow will leave you jealous (or, if you’re like me, grateful that you live in a place where there is no snow.)

If I didn’t revel in SoCal weather I’d have moved to a snowy climate by now. Nice to visit wouldn’t want to live in it. I would just love to see it snow on Christmas Eve one time while I’m out running around the SCV from house to house in my Santa suit.

I miss snow, I really do. Driving in it daily, not so much. But waking up to fresh snow is pretty cool. On the holiday note, good map of local holiday lights and such: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=117651682581986870862.00045e96c70ac90b4d8b0&ll=34.429001,-118.538361&spn=0.129414,0.333366&z=12

I saw the Lobsta Truck on KTLA this morning and man, it looked good! Now if they come to the SCV I’ll be there!

A few months before I moved here in ’09, it got to -40 windchill back in Chicagoland. Froze my battery solid and broke a tie rod but no worries here in So Cal.

After living in So Cal for awhile your blood thins. I’m shivering and putting on the heater when the thermostat dips below 70. But it’s been especially cold especially early this year. Mr. RM reports it was a brisk 30 degrees on the soccer field at Central Park last Friday evening, and some of the plants on my patio are looking worse for wear. Guess I’m done harvesting tomatos.

I pray my blood never thins lol. I went ice skating the other night and was the only moron in a t-shirt there.

Five Guys opens tomorrow @ 11am. Haven’t had it, but I hear that In-N-Out isn’t quite running scared just yet.
