Illegal Immigrants busted in Newhall!

Bad boys…whatcha gonna do but challenge my stereotypes:

According to Lt. Mark Hershey, a 17-year old female said she gave two men a ride home, but enroute, they threatened her with a gun, forcing her to drive them elsewhere.

After she dropped the men off, she reported the incident to the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station, prompting deputies to respond to a location on Ficus Street in Newhall, where they arrested the four men.

Arrested on suspicion of kidnapping were Timothy Heather, 19, of Canada and Michael Case, 21, of Italy. Hershey said that immigration holds for the pair were requested from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

KHTS

Who’s going to be the next Council candidate running on a promise to get tough on these illegal criminals from foreign countries? Who will bravely step up to protect us from the combined menace of the Italiano-Canadian crime wave that is lapping at our fair city’s walls, urinating on its finely manicured lawns, and frightening its womenfolk, eh? When can I expect a bombastic editorial from Roger Gitlin on how pervasive this threat is, and how long must I wait for Bob Kellar to give a new speech telling us how proud he is of his views on 20 something Italian/Canadian criminals?

All illegal immigrants must be dealt with the same way. Deport them.

    Exactly!
  3. CCDecember 21, 2010 at 4:16 pm
Yep, but if they broke the law, they get a prison sentance first. I’m glad you are finally on board Jeff.

The funny part of the whole thing is the credence this gives to Kellar and Gitlin’s arguments about illegals (if they, in fact, are illegals). Not all illegals are Hispanic.

Punish them severely – make them live in Jeff ‘s Newhall high density condo on the wrong side of the tracks! That oughta do it!

What 17 year old female driving alone picks up strangers?!
  7. Your Web GuruDecember 21, 2010 at 5:20 pm
That was exactly what I was thinking? There’s something rotten in Denmark with this story.
  8. lvogelDecember 21, 2010 at 5:55 pm
Okay, make that 3 of us! Seriously, she ‘gave these men a ride’, yet they pull a gun on her in order for her to take them somewhere else? hmmmm…. Was she robbed? Was she assaulted? She just ‘drops them off’, then goes to the sheriffs office to report this ‘kidnapping’? Does not add up.

Canadian eh? Probably sold her bad weed, so she rolled over on em.

You are correct. The story will change on this to reflect your sentiments for sure.

They arrested four men . . . which country(ies) were the other two from? If she were my daughter she’d lose her car keys over this.
  12. SchizoDecember 22, 2010 at 6:59 am
One is from Reseda and needs to be deported back to the San Fernando Valley. The other is from Newhall.
  13. Mr PerezDecember 21, 2010 at 9:46 pm
Damn Canadians and their expensive day labor and dangerous knock off maple syrup!
  14. ThomasDecember 22, 2010 at 7:24 am
Where did the article from KHTS say they were illegal? Immigration holds CAN be placed on those visiting the country legally.
  15. lvogelDecember 22, 2010 at 11:40 am
You’re right Thomas; perhaps they had work visa’s or green cards? Doesn’t mean they were here illegally. In fact I’m sure there are many ‘legal’ immigrants that have gotten in trouble with our law and have been put on ‘hold’ until investigators do what they need to in order to prove their guilt or innocence. Not all immigrants that break laws are illegal, eh?

    Was there any stereotyping here?
  17. ReaderMamaDecember 22, 2010 at 8:32 am
    What are you saying, eh?
  18. Mr PerezDecember 23, 2010 at 9:52 pm

Just wondering how the cops learned these guys were not citizens. Had they been Mexican would the race card been played. Was the girl present to identify the guys.

When you are arrested, you are asked, “Where do you live?” and “Where were you born?”
  21. SCVFanDecember 23, 2010 at 9:17 am
Jeff, is there something offensive in my post that you are not approving?
  22. SCVFanDecember 28, 2010 at 4:26 pm
    Still no response Jeff?
