Okay, I’ll start: Now that Michelle Bachmann has announced her candidacy, does this mean we’ll see Petz jump the Cain Train? Aaaaaaaannnnd…..GO!
castaicdadJune 27, 2011 at 9:05 am
If Michelle Bachmann wins, does that make her husband the “First Man”?????
gobstopperJune 27, 2011 at 9:26 am
Or “First Gentleman” being that there are “First Ladies”
PetzJune 27, 2011 at 11:41 am
Cain is my “man”, Bachmann is my “woman”…may the best Man win.
Damage Inc.June 27, 2011 at 12:36 pm
And Obama is your president.
yourwebguruJune 27, 2011 at 6:53 pm
It’s comforting to know that Ms. Bachmann and John Wayne Gacy hail from the same town.
NateJune 27, 2011 at 8:12 pm
Same spirit too…. :/
Whiskey Tango FoxtrotJune 27, 2011 at 8:51 pm
Really???????
Damage Inc.June 28, 2011 at 8:40 am
that’s what she said *rimshot* seriously though that’s what she said. http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2011/jun/27/the-wrong-john-wayne/

Well, verbal gaffes are mildly amusing at best but make great theatre in the 24 hour news cycle. Partisans at both ends seem to make the best of them.
TaTonkaJune 28, 2011 at 5:25 am
I have a better chance than Cain does of being President. My prediction is Christie will run and will win BIG
MikeJune 28, 2011 at 7:17 am
Serious question: what is Christie’s appeal? I’ve heard the gushing, but I don’t understand it. What makes him a stronger candidate than the other Republican hopefuls?
JeffJune 28, 2011 at 7:21 am
He attacks the unions head-on. It’s that simple.
yourwebguruJune 28, 2011 at 7:42 am
I don’t want a thug for President who dresses down and degrades everyone who disagrees with him. Also, plus-sized presidents never fared well throughout history. Remember Taft?
TaTonkaJune 28, 2011 at 8:01 am
Watch his interview from last Sundays MTP. He explains his popularity better than I ever could. He answers EVERY question regarding policy looking in your eyes while he does it. Americans are lusting for an honest in your face politician. We have not had one in 30 years. He will announce after the November elections and will win by 8-9 points? I would be more interested in the arguments against him? I believe he is the only candidate that the dimocrats are scared of. Watch the interview. Obama wishes he had Christie’s skills
MikeJune 28, 2011 at 8:05 am
OK, I’ll have a look.
TaTonkaJune 28, 2011 at 9:38 am
Here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-NPsvtQ8lE LOL We are already seeing the profound arguments against Christie right here on this blog…..He is to fat!!!
Timothy Myers SR.June 28, 2011 at 10:40 am
He can eat the other candidates!
yourwebguruJune 28, 2011 at 12:33 pm
Indeed gaffs are fun. Think of the fun they had when Obama inadvertently wrote 2008 when he was in the UK. One good turn… More importantly though is that, out of 26 statements made by Michelle Bachmann that were fact checked by politifact.com, only ONE was actually true.

Weird Al July 9th Orange County fair (well the fair doesn’t start til the 15th) WOOT!
lvogelJune 27, 2011 at 4:52 pm
One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended….at Saugus Speedway! Where Al found all his energy was beyond me, and the best part, we got to bring the kids!

Can someone please explain to me the necessity of a dental temporary crown?
LindaJune 27, 2011 at 10:50 am
To protect the ground down nub of your tooth while the beautiful, perfectly molded-for-your-mouth permanent crown is being created.
CCJune 27, 2011 at 12:26 pm
It looks good enough to be perminant. I am just wondering why they don’t do the perminant in the first place.
LindaJune 27, 2011 at 2:06 pm
The crown has to fit snugly on the “nub” and it has to align correctly with the teeth above or below it so that your bite is normal. They have to take a mold and then someone who specializes in making them creates the permanent crown, making sure to match your natural color as closely as possible. Also, using a temporary crown for too long can lead to spelling errors.

Some facilities actually have a lab in house and the time is reduced dramatically.
LarMccJune 27, 2011 at 11:09 pm
I was told by a trusted master hygienist to avoid the same day (not temporary) crowns. This is relatively new. Always ask the DDS what lab they use. If they say “in house” go elsewhere. They should be using a reputable lab like Burbank, Da Vincci or Puga.
CCJune 27, 2011 at 4:22 pm
LOL, it must be the novocane!
lvogelJune 27, 2011 at 4:57 pm
Just an FYI if your ‘temporary’ should fall out during the 2 weeks you’re waiting for the permanent, Fixodent it!

On a more local note, I would like to extol the virtues of a little known gem in Santa Clarita called The SCV Space. Most everyone knows about the Canyon Theatre and Repertory East Playhouse, but the SCV Space, which opened last year, is a tiny 30 seat theater located at Haskell and Bouquet (In the same little shopping complex where La Rumba is). For example, did anyone know that Godspell played there for the past 2 weekends? I begrudgingly went to see it (Godspell is not on my list of favorite plays) because I’ve known 3 of the 4 performers since they were kids (They are now in their 20s). Expecting to patiently sit through it and just be nice, I was absolutely blown away by the performances! This little place, with 30 seats, no concession area, the bathroom literally on stage left…put on the BEST show in town (And yes, I also saw CTG’s Footloose and REP’s Cabaret). They did it with only 4 actors, but their energy was beyond spectacular, AND they managed to cram a 3 piece live band onto the stage as well. The show closed on Sunday and only ran two weekends, but it was one that deserved much better press and attention than it got. So that I don’t schill too much, Google “SCV Space” to see what’s coming up. It’s intimate theater like you’ve never experienced it.
yourwebguruJune 27, 2011 at 4:22 pm
Let me clarify to my REP and CTG homies that Cabaret and Footloose were also terrific, respectively! Don’t hate because I’m praising on the Space!
