Her name is Charlotte and my new niece is the best thing to happen to me all year:

Cuteness overload! Swoon!

Born 8-27-11, Charlotte tipped the scales at 8 lbs 5 0z and her mom Chelsea and dad Scott (my brother, who occasionally posts here as Scooter) are doing well at their home in Valencia.

Welcome to the world Charlotte!

    Congratulations. Let’s hope Charlotte grows up in a world where there are no glass ceilings for women, that she is not discriminated against in academic life or at work “because she’s a girl” and that in her lifetime she has a populist woman President as a role model.
