Allyson Felix, hometown hero and winner of Olympic medals in Athens and Beijing, is in the middle of a peculiar story that has captured the world's imagination. She and another sprinter tied for 3rd place in the US Women's 100m Olympic trial (and only the top 3 get to race in London) even a 3,000 frames-per-second camera cannot determine a winner. The two need to decide how they are going to break the tie, through a runoff or a coin toss, but the decision won't be made until after the 200m trials of Saturday.THE ATLANTIC, ESPN
