Morris Thomas, Congressman McKeon's new district director and former general manager of The Signal, is a convicted felon, having served some time in the early 90s after appropriating client money for himself, according to KHTSSCVNEWS and SIGNAL. Thomas says he's spent the last 20 years ago redeeming himself, and McKeon says that, as a man of faith, "I am a believer in forgiveness and giving people a second chance. Morris has paid his debt to society and has accepted penalties that will follow him throughout his lifetime. Despite this, Morris has become a stalwart in the community. He deserves a second chance and therefore has my full support in his new role as District Director for my district office operations."

There's a new Buck McKeon blog authored by a resident of Simi Valley. Romney adviser says Barack Obama "doesn't fully appreciate" Anglo-Saxon heritage. What an odd thing to say- black African heritage is just as old as Anglo-Saxon heritage on this continent, and most whites in America aren't Anglo-Saxon but Irish, German or some other flavor of European. Why not hit Obama over his lack of appreciation for Italian-American heritage? Also, the Saxons were defeated by William the Conquerer, a Norman, in 1066, so they're not all that great anywaySALON
