Einstein charter organizers must be really desperate to pull out the anti-Semitic card as Einstein executive director Jeffrey Shapiro did at SCV Beacon today:
Probably not.
So obviously this an attempt to intimidate the SUSD Board ahead of tonight's vote. This is something you say when you want to chill debate, not encourage it and win it honestly. This is something you say when you want to point the eyes of the public away from the problems in your own charter petition and towards something else, something that provokes an emotional reaction in people.
This is something you say when you think you're going to lose.
Remember "Death Panels" at the height of the Obamacare debate? It's like that.
Will it work though? I don't know the SUSD Board well enough to say either way.

The Saugus District is anti-Semitic?
One of the more insidious components of the Saugus Union School District Resolution No. 2012-13 #19 Adopting Findings Regarding the Albert Einstein Academy for Letters, Arts and Sciences Saugus Charter School Petition is this anti-Semitism memorialized in it.These are not the words of a man who is confident he's going to prevail in front of the SUSD board tonight. If you had some business matter before a local elected board, would you call members of the board and staff anti-Semites on the day they made their decision?
Probably not.
