I neglected to mention the Rubbery Duck charity event this week. It's notable every year because proceeds go to support the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, but this year is extra special because some SCV Olympians are coming:

SCV Olympians and Rubber Ducks- what could be better?
Santa Clarita city officials will hand out keys to the city for the area’s 2012 Olympians on Saturday as part of the Rubber Ducky festival at Bridgeport Park.
Canyon High School graduate Alysia Montano and former College of the Canyons assistant track coach Lashinda Demus will appear to receive the recognition Saturday, along with family members of Hart High School graduate Anthony Ervin and the parents of Saugus High School graduate David Smith.
Demus won a silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
Gold medalist and local resident Allyson Felix could not be reached, a spokeswoman for the festival said.
