Top 5 SCV Bro Trucks: The Winner Hates Your Stupid Face

The first contest in SCVTalk history took it to the streets of SCV. We put out a call for Instagrams of the most bro-tastic SCV Bro Trucks, and our readers didn't disappoint.

But it wouldn't be a Bro Truck contest if it didn't get a little dicey. Our winner is fittingly NSFW. The license plate says it all, but because we have (some) manners, you'll have to click on the pic to see the raw, uncensored version. In the words of the winning photographer: #dmvfail.

This one was an early favorite. For another photo that didn't make the cut, @inkgigolo won the contest for the best photo taken on the last day of the contest. He takes home a can of Rockstar.

4. All Your Prius Are Belong To Us

Because we (mostly) have ethics, there's no way Jeff was gonna win the Chronic Taco prize, but I threw his pic into the mix anyway. The judges liked it, because why not?

Believe it or not, but three people snapped pics of this exact truck.

Our judging panel consisted of journalists and non-journalists, an actual photographer, SCV transplants and SCV expats. As far as I know, they didn't talk to each other and they (mostly) didn't see these pics before deliberation. Thank you to the judges, all who submitted #scvbrotruck pics and the bros that made these trucks possible. True Americans, every last one of you.

Hard to argue with that lineup. Except #2 "The Ringer." ;) Fun contest. My only regret is that I never bagged shots of 2 trucks that I had prior knowledge of before the contest was closed. Next time ...

The Tonka truck is actually made by Tonka and used to promote at car shows, etc.... my friend is the promoter/driver (tough job! lol) and lives in the SCV.

The Tonka T-Rex is our Brand Ambassador and was custom built to tap into every little boys (and big boys) dreams of having a real life Tonka truck. Thanks for the acknowledgement of our efforts in building this truck!

I wish this contest was still open. I noticed today at some indoor race track *(remote control cars) off Reuther, there must have been 20 of these trucks parked in the parking lot. Maybe next time.

Besides the flags, I think Truck #3 should have come in last place. Even truck #2 is questionable. #5 should have gotten 2nd place for the pun, and #4 is lifted beyond any purpose and therefore deserves the #3 spot. Heck, truck #2 is well designed, and someone put some serious effort into making that marketing gem.
