Comedian to Headline Prayer Breakfast: Comedian Brad Stine has been announced as the keynote speaker for The Dunamis Group's 10th annual Mayors (or Mayor's, depending who you ask) Prayer Breakfast, May 1 (National Day of Prayer) at the Hyatt. This is, of course, the breakfast that annually sparks much opinionating, discussion and, um, fervor, among locals. Will the Denis Leary stylings of Stine fare better than previous guests such as Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute? The video in KHTS' story doesn't contain much of Stine's actual comedy; a quick look at the YouTubes brings up plenty of results like "The Wussification of America" and "At Least We're Not France." Insert "Green Business" Reference: USEI Cannabis Initiatives Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Santa Clarita Valley-based US Energy Initiatives Corp. Inc, is getting into marketing products to the Colorado marijuana grower market. The press release posted at SCVNews doesn't really shed much light on specifics; Yahoo's report indicates USEI has identified "a manufacturer of highly energy efficient lighting technology that cannabis growers report is producing better crop yields in a potential billion dollar industry."
