- Remember the Alamo?: An Arkansas judge awarded more than a half-billion dollars (!) in damages to seven female former members of Tony Alamo Christian Ministries. That would be the Tony Alamo whose "church" is way up Sierra Highway and who is serving a 175-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2009 of taking young girls across state lines for sex. Long story short, several years ago a Chicago historian bought a huge lot of photographic prints and negatives at an auction, which would reveal a body of work by one the best photographers of the 20th century that no one had heard of.
