  • Is BLM Putting the Brakes on Cemex?: The federal Bureau of Land Management in a letter withdrew its support for the Cemex mine in Soledad Canyon, which may be a sign the feds are siding with the city of Santa Clarita on the issue. KHTS
  • We Are Failing: "If we’d already taken some of these actions, there would be more water in our reservoirs and our underground aquifers today. Droughts aren’t going away. We’re going to see more and more extreme weather.” California is failing at dealing with and responding to the continued drought, a new report concludes. Daily News
  • Not Guilty Plea in Valencia Stabbing: The SCV man arrested after reportedly stabbing a man outside JJ's Bar and Grill pleaded not guilty to an attempted murder charge. The Signal
