She eats Council Candidates like you for breakfast

Going in, the conventional wisdom was that Marsha McLean was the weakest of the incumbents. But she sure showed us. The only candidate who had fewer signs than Marsha was Frank Ferry, but I think the consensus is now that signs really don’t matter.

Anyway congrats to McLean and Weste. Those are results I can live with. They are good Councilmembers and personally, I’m thrilled that we’ll get to hear about the Orange Line Mag Lev train system for the next four years. Who kows, maybe it will actually get built? Along with Weste, who supports bike trails, last night was a win for those of us who think that there ought to be alternatives to personal automobile use.

    Well good for Marsha. Although I don’t agree with her stance on many things (Henry Mayo), she’s a good person and doesn’t seem to have a personal agenda like the other two.

    I think what many of you fail to recognize is that all 5 Council members are supposed to represent ALL of the residents of this city, not just those of you who are in favor of allowing those here without legal permission to remain and continue doing what they are doing. If you consider that passing “John Birch-style resolutions” you are mistaken. It is called being responsive to the issues important to your constituents. Something both Bob Kellar and potential Councilmember David Gauny (oh God, please) understand and commit to on a daily basis.

    Berta doesn’t see the hypocrisy in being a republican typically against regulation until something beginnings to happen in their town all of sudden… Bring the nanny state. Give me Ferry just to piss off, Bill Reynolds, Berta, and David Bossert.

I watched half a Glenn Beck Show once, Regulation = Social Marxist Maoist Plot and Jesus hates it. -You do not need to do anything to piss me off. I already think you are a jerk just based on the few posts you have written using your nom de plume. No NO NO… I want the angels to sing at the very sight of your David Gauny loss inspired tears. I want you to wonder if sending out the email he gave you lost him the few votes he might have needed.     Hi, Cash. Jeff “moderated” my response the other day so you probably never saw it. He also edited out some of the more vile comments made by damageinc after the fact. Comments made by both sides may be difficult to follow without the context of the other comments. Nevertheless, let me just say damageinc and all his alter egos got the spanking he deserved…

I am a taxpayer and a Signal subscriber and I doubt very much that Ken Pulskamp or Ian Lamont will ignore me if I chose to press the issue. You need your meds changed. As to being a dollar short sweet thing, that may be your problem if you keep at it since your employment paperwork with the City of Santa Clarita is very specific. I would go back and re read it. You may also want to speak with Mr. Newton on the issue of posting vile comments on the internet while employed by the City, on or off the clock.

    Personally, I think some people should be banned from the site. There are some contributors who simply want to provoke others. People do have a right to defend themselves from attack though. If bloggers repeatedly use profanity, insist on unprovoked vicious personal attacks on people, or intentionally spread falsehoods they should be banned. I would be in favor of adopting a code of acceptable conduct for blog users as determined by the webmaster or a majority of posters. If you do not like the code of conduct, don’t blog here and that includes me. Anyone else think it is a good idea?

    Jeff should really have a much tighter code of ethics for this site. It is people like BlazingMonk that put people off with his childish remarks and attacks on people. There is no need for that kind if behavior. Freedoms of speech is one thing, attacks, libel and defamation are another. Oh, let’s not forget the lies. Claims that I called TMC to get his gf fired. Not true. Never happened.
