Neighbors of that disputed private tennis court in Newhall say they feel like they live in the Happy Valley Correctional Facility and estimate their home has lost $175k-200k in value since the tennis court -with its high fences and powerful lighting- was built. They're suing the City for damages and the City is suing the tennis court property owner. SIGNAL
Deputies not only arrested Colt Doherty, the driver of the Mustang involved in the collision that took the life of Dakota Demott back in January, they also arrested a driver of another car, who was racing Colt. Joseph Vensko, also of Canyon Country, will face vehicular murder charges as well. I don't have a link, but I looked it up last night and it's been as hot in the SCV as it has been in Las Vegas over the last few days. Let me repeat that: it's so hot that leaving the SCV for Las Vegas in August actually sounds like a rational thing to do.
