- As Notes for Newhall reported yesterday, Ken Pulskamp has decided to leave the City of Santa Clarita one month early and become Interim City Manager for the City of Burbank. Pulskamp tells the Signal he's not interested in a permanent position at Burbank and plans to be at Burbank six or seven months BURBANK LEADER, SIGNAL

- Over the weekend, KHTS launched a new website based around what looks like WordPress. The new site, KHTSAM.com, has a more blog-like format and the radio station says the site will offer "a forum for Santa Clarita Valley residents to discuss stories and events as well as share their opinions." The old Hometown Station.com address forwards to the new site automatically. Congrats on the new site, it looks much better KHTS
- Mark Archuleta, former political reporter for KHTS, tweets that he & Carl Rock were "fired for reporting fairly on Congressman McKeon" and says a full story is coming soon TWITTER
- Meanwhile, Roll Coll, a DC Publication, says a staff member in McKeon's office threatened to shut out the Protect our Defenders group from a possible hearing on the Lackland Air Force base sex scandals. The staffer was upset about media coverage critical of McKeon that appeared in the Huffington Post, but the staffer was also concerned about local SCV coverage. "“During the meeting, Jaime showed us a recent article by Mark Archuleta … then told us that if we continued to talk with his local media our conversations with the HASC were over. After this meeting, we did not stop talking to local media, and we continue to work with HASC staff,” one witness told Roll Call. Roll Call notes that Rock & Archuleta have been fired "amid reported clashes with KHTS management over their reporting on McKeon." ROLL CALL
