Actor Paul Walker (Fast & Furious) Killed in Car Crash in Valencia (Updated)

TMZ has confirmed that actor Paul Walker from the Fast & Furious movies was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Valencia this afternoon. Walker and and an unidentified second person were riding in a Porsche on Hercules Drive and apparently crashed into a light pole and a tree and the car burst into flames. It's unknown at this point if Walker was driving (Update: Walker was a passenger in his friend's car).

Walker’s breakout role came in 1999’s Varsity Blues, and he became a bonafide star two years later with The Fast and the Furious. He would go on to appear in five of the six Fast & Furious films and, according to IMDB, he was set to appear in Fast & Furious 7 next year.

Walker was also a professional race car driver and his racing team, Always Evolving, was based in Valencia, on Constellation Rd., around the corner from the site of the accident.

Always Evolving was hosting a heavily-publicized holiday toy drive this afternoon. Soon before the crash, AE’s official Twitter account posted pictures of several cars on display, including Porsches.

We'll have more information on this tragic crash as more news comes in.

7:26 PM: This news has been confirmed via Walker's official Facebook page. COC Cougar News has posted a picture of the crash scene.

7:33 PM: Perry Smith is reporting that the other victim was Roger Rodas, the CEO of Always Evolving.

I got a question is it true or is it another hoax like Jackie chan and adam sandler sorry im big fan of paul walker but im hoping this is not another hoax but in away I hope it is asleast hes safe

I just saw this posting on Facebook. I am quite disturbed from the comments of the occupants of the vehicle. One of them keeps saying, "Go! Drive away!". How where they so near, and just happens to be right there behind the accident? Did they really just happened to be on the heels of the accident? Or where they racing with the Porsche? The blue car looks and sounds a lot like it is a custom street racing car. Much appreciate. ~ Silvestre

A little too fast, a little too furious..... Making movies that glorify and encourage street racing (in which real people really die) is not a good thing for the young and impressionable that don't realize that movies are NOT the same as real life. How sad and tragic, but not really all that surprising. You can only beat the odds for so long...

If we stopped making movies about everything that could harm you, we wouldn't make any movies at all. How about we just be good parents and teach our kids the difference between movies and reality, and mourn this loss without disparaging the recently deceased

Hey Lynn, Who's an "ass"? IF a driver is under the influence and causes an accident resulting in the death of a passenger, the driver is charged with a crime, etc. IF both driver AND passenger die in the accident, the deceased driver is responsible for two deaths, instead of one! You win the "ass" title!

I have no FACTS, data, proof, statistics... It just seems to me that the greatest number of fatalities in the SCV, which really could be avoided, have to do with cars and motorcycles. Why don't they just go to 6 Flags Magic Mountain for their thrills; help the local economy and save the taxpayers money for having to send the police, first responders, fire Dept., Medics, Coroner, clean up crews, etc, Speeding, like the use of speed IS a choice! One individual is always responsible for the death of others... What was the "accident"? A heavy foot on the gas pedal? (choice) Tee many martoonis? (choice) Showing off? (choice) Drag racing? (choice) Drugging and driving? (choice) Venting rage behind the wheel? (choice) I move that in these instances the individual who was responsible for the death of an other(s) be formally charged with the others' death(s), Why should a dead murderer only get sympathy? Do I hear a second?

How about people learn that cars are dangerous? We get into one each day and don't think about how we could be seriously hurt or die anytime in a car. It is very sad anytime someone dies.

I completely agree and still I'm being ripped on in here. It's unfortunate that the accident happened and without any facts to go on, people still need to place blame. It's not established yet what even happened. It's a tragic loss. Maybe the driver was at fault, maybe he wasn't, but for now it's a time mourn not a time to blame.

I was fortunate to know Paul. He was my student when he was in Jr. High. After this many years you don't remember many of your students, but I remember him. He was one of the nice ones. You always remember your worst and your best. He was one of the best.

It is nice when you remember your best, isn't it? We should be thankful after each time we make it driving/riding in a car. I am sensitive to this. My sister-in-law was struck by a truck and died on impact 2 months after her husband (my brother) died. Now my niece always tells people to be careful out on the road. This makes me sad for the family. Paul was so young.
