  • Liquid Blue Persuasion: While officials are seeing an increase in meth being smuggled in liquid form, it has yet to make an appearance in the SCV. KHTS
  • COBRA Team Strikes: The Sheriff's Station's anti-gang COBRA team arrested a 21-year-old and a 15-year-old in connection with two recent armed robberies in Canyon Country. KHTS
  • Insert Grumpy Millennial Complaint Here: While not clad in her usual power color of red, Dr. Dianne Van Hook gave a helpful presentation at yesterday's Valley Industry Association on the differences between generations and successfully marketing to each. The Signal
  • Side Note: I was at yesterday's luncheon, and was glad to see my old co-worker, Signal photo editor Dan Watson. And that's the thing I like about Dan. He's been working as a photojournalist for years and still shows up to business luncheons and works just as hard. Side note to this side note, Dan's family has a rich history in Los Angeles journalism. That's all.
  • More Funds for the Senior Center: The county Board of Supervisors approved $160K in supportive services funding for the SCV Senior Center yesterday. KHTS
  • Deputies Not Sweet on 'Honey': Another "honey oil" operation was busted in Santa Clarita yesterday. The concentrated form of THC has proven very dangerous in its production methods. The Signal
  • Tending to the Lyons: The city is launching into maintenance work on Lyons Avenue that will last until September. City Briefs 
  • Deputies Like Jim: Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell continues to gain steam in the race for L.A. County Sheriff, picking up endorsements from organizations including the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs. KPCC
  • Dust Off the Waterboards: Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon wants to make sure that the recently captured Benghazi attack suspect is "fully interrogated" before being prosecuted. Free Beacon

  • How's the Water?: The Castaic Lake Water Agency has released its annual report on SCV's water quality. The Signal
  • The Trial Continues: A Sheriff's lieutenant who is an SCV resident took the stand for a third day, in the trial probing corruption at Men's Central Jail. The Signal
