Please welcome Linda, SCVTalk’s newest blogger!

I’m pleased to announce that we have a new blogger joining SCVTalk.com.

Linda has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for 11 years. She works as an instructional assistant and substitute teacher  for a local school district and has a 14 year old daughter. Linda and her husband live in Valencia, and she holds degree in Anthropology. She enjoys reading and travelling and is a crossword puzzle master, but most of the time these days, she’s hauling her teenage daughter around town.

You may know Linda as “Reader Mama,” a handle she has posted under here on SCVTalk for several years. Even when we disagreed, Linda always had some insightful and interesting things to say, which is why I invited her to join SCVTalk’s “editorial board.”

She’ll be blogging about our schools, kids, and a whole bunch of other topics that I’m ill-equipped to discuss. She’s going to help round out SCVTalk and make it more interesting to more readers.

    Finally Jeff the Left-Wing Socialist Propagandist has decided to open his pages up to someone not hell-bent on the government takeover of the entire U.S. economy. I guess Jeff does retain a smidgen of intellectual honesty.

    Clearly, comments like Kevin’s are highly inappropriate, given the shooting of Tucson’s pro-border security, pro-gun rights, military wife, moderate DEMOCRAT Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Extreme right wing rhetoric, whether directed at a Democrat or a Republican like Congresswoman Weste this week, only invites mentally unbalanced people to act in dangerous, irrational ways.
