- So nice to see the SIGNAL finally came around to what SCVNEWS and SCVTALK called around 10:00 pm last night; namely that TimBen Boydston had unseated a sitting incumbent for only the third time in City history. For those that think this was a near thing they are mistaken. Laurie Ender was literally gang stomped by TimBen into political oblivion. And for those Ender apologists who might attribute the loss to some weak campaigning, I count myself as one of the converted that the seal of incumbency has now been broken and the actions of local elected officials have consequences.
We will have much more in the days to come dissecting the results and the probable domino effect this will have on other local races, but a major fault line has opened around local politics and its effects will ripple; probably for years to come.
- Though certainly not insignificant to the victims and their families, SIGNAL reports (statistically insignificant) increases in violent crime year on year.
- SIGNAL followup on the charge sheet against “backyard butcher” in Tick Canyon Robert Celedon begs the question: Who bought meat from this guy?
