  • Plenty of Questions Remain: A 27-year-old woman died in custody at the SCV Sheriff's Station. Arrested Thursday on a narcotics possession charge, she was found unresponsive in her cell (per the LA Times, she was sharing it with two other inmates) Saturday afternoon and pronounced dead.   • Startling Find at Pyramid Lake: A jet skier came across a terrible unexpected sight yesterday at Pyramid Lake: an overturned boat and a man's body floating in the water. The Signal
  • Sending a Strongly Worded Letter: The city is getting ready to send a letter to the owner of The Greens property, letting them know the building either needs to be rehabilitated or demolished. Tearing it down was the plan several years ago, when Brisam Valencia LLC wanted to build a new hotel on the site. The Signal
