Frank Ferry Out of Hospital

Local media outlets are reporting that Frank Ferry was released from the hospital today where he had been since December 3, 2010. In this day and age a 33 day stay in the hospital indicates quite a serious illness and I am sure we are all quite happy that Frank is doing better.

Best wishes to Frank. Lucky he had the good medical benefits to cover his stay. Benefits he denies others with privatization….

Best wishes to Frank on his continued recovery. On Providence Holy Cross in general, my son had appendicitis on Christmas morn. (It was a different type of family togetherness than we expected!) Other than faulty elevators, which is a facility issue worthy of immediate action (Robert had to be removed from the gurney and pulled from a broken elevator stuck between floors, then later walked to his own surgery when there were NO working elevators in the entire hospital), the care was exceptional. Props to the medical staff at Providence for such great patient care.

Truly hope he’s getting better. But just wondering why Frank didn’t go to HMNMH, after he received all those “donations” from them. Yep, good to have all that medical coverage. We wonder why he would deny the same to our exiting library workers; the new private company certainly won’t be offering the same med benefits Franks gets as a city employee. We guess it’s “I got mine–you’re on your own.”

Perhaps after having his near death experience, Frank will be more humble. But I doubt it!

The articles say that Ferry was released from the hospital. It doesn’t say that he went to his residence in Santa Clarita. Is that because he doesn’t have a residence in the city where he’s a Council member? I hope they treated his anger problems while he was hospitalized too. It will be better for his and everyone else’s health.
