  • There will be traffic delays at the intersection of Lyons and the I-5 due to road maintenance, scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Wednesday.  The northbound onramps and offramp will be be impacted through Friday.  If you can use another route, do so.  (SIGNAL)
  • The Disney/ABC Studios at The Ranch project has issued a Notice of Preparation soliciting comments regarding the scope and content of the environmental analyses to be included in the Environmental Impact Report.  The deadline for comments is February 10. (STUDIO)
  • A lawsuit has been filed against Taco Bell alleging that what they advertise as ground “beef” is not really beef.  Apparently their taco meat is only 36% ground meat; the rest is fillers and such tasty additives as silicon dioxide.  (YAHOO)
  • And if you’re thinking about switching to burgers, you’ll have to pay more.  The prices at McDonald’s are going up.  In fact eating out in general is expected to go up 2.5% to 3% this year.  (LATIMES)
  • GM is now selling more cars to China than to the U.S.  And they like our RVs too.  A Chinese businessman has made a deal with a Riverside firm to build and export $5 billion worth.  (LATIMES)
  • Good news on the job front:  Google plans to add more than 6,200 jobs this year.  (DAILY NEWS)
  • Have you stuck to your New Year’s Resolutions?  If not, here’s an idea from fifth-grader Perla Lorenzo:  “My New Year’s resolution is to finish all my homework and projects on time. If I can’t keep my resolution, I’ll start a new one.”  (SIGNAL)
  • If your New Year’s resolution is to try something new, why not give acting a go?  Canyon Theatre Guild is holding auditions tonight for its production of Social Security.  (CTG)
  • The Saugus School District is holding meetings tonight at Cedarcreek and North Park from 7:00 to 8:30, seeking community input on the search for a new district superintendent.  (SIGNAL)
