- A cyclist, described as young man on a kids bike, was killed this morning on Railroad & Magic Mountain after apparently riding against a red light and on the wrong side of the street. He was struck by a LA County Sanitation vehicle. Deputies and coroners are investigating. SIGNAL, KHTS
- More on the Chloride decision: Jim Holt has been covering our chloride pollution problem for years, so he quickly figured out what was behind the last minute change in support from Alternative 4 to Alternative 2. And it still doesn't quite make sense. Downstream farmers, organized in part by the United Water Conservation District, huddled together recently at a meeting in Santa Paula and quietly picked #2 instead of 4. What's more, a UWCD person says Santa Clarita today is no closer to decreasing chloride to acceptable levels than it was 10 years ago, even after removing our salt water softeners. SIGNAL
